just stumbled accross this and whats pretty funny is i HAD a halo 3 xbox360 which has like 2 weeks ago died on me D:

did the folowing:
penny trick
towel trick
bolt trick
thermal pasting etc
actually standing on it while playing

and it just gave up the ghost eventually saying either e74 or no dvd drive so i have it on the side for random parts n leds when im bored some night

got a new xbox360 arcade for £65 (literaly just the console no wires etc) from a mate who owns a gameshop as he can make more mone via wires n shit then a boxed console and ive case modded it n everything xD


but to be honest those halo 3 xboxs are just a death trap.. i went to ask microsoft via website and phoneline if theyd pick it up for repair and they wont as its a limited edition console

and i know all theyd do is take my green one and give me a shitty core/arcade console back XD


a good thing to remember is:

ONLY BUY A LIMITED EDITITION IF YOU UNDERSTAND MICROSOFT WILL **** YOU OVER IN REPAIRS

im currently trying to get the console to work again with a little success but its still displying no dvd drive or something

but the date that the like 8 titles for xbox original that HAD live capability all get dropped on april 14th

i have an elite with the same problem nomatter what i do it ****s me off with the e74 lark i know why it does it but its unfixable as i have completely fryed the graphic processor chip inside the xbox when i modded waw zombies i had it on something insane like 10 times speed for well over a day so yeh its goosed
