Its Your Company Shaw Has The Worst Internet Ever!
I Get Disconnected From Xboxlive
Even When My Xbox Is Right Beside The Router
I Suggest Getting Telus Or Better
Keep Shaw Cable And Phone But Have A Different Internet Provider

It's your internet.
This was happening to me a while back and when I switched to road runner it stopped happening.
Only advice I can give is invest in a better provider!
My connection was perfect, then when we got are house remodeled and moved around the router then thats when it all started happening. the connection was so good before never lagged or got logged out then the next day of getting everything done remodled, it was just horrible no joke I got logged out every 5 mins, but now its like every 8-10 mins

You are not allowed to play with guests on BF3, I don't know about NHL but if you log in an account without an online pass it should sign you both out.

your best option would be to try a few things.

A.Forward all ports relating to your XBL connection, you can get these from google pretty easy.

B.Assign a specific IP address to your xbox consoles and check that the renewal for leases is set to a long delay, so that it wont auto re assign you a new IP

C.Set your Xbox as the DMZ this will allow unrestricted network access for your 360 (not safe to do on a pc but an xbox your safe doing it).

D.Make sure that your router firewall is allowing access to your devices

E.this is a last resort but most routers when logged into the admin pannel have a Restore to Factory Default setting. This should put the router back to its basic factory settings again.

You can also try looking at the logs for your router and seeing if there was a firmware update released recently, im with Virgin Media in the UK and they released a Firmware update for out Netgear routers a few months back that caused Serious issues like the one you described. So its worth checking.

If this all fails and doesn't help then your next port of call should be calling your ISP and telling them, it could be that during your remodel a cable was damaged and the reason for the lag/DC is the constant packet loss caused by the damaged cable, in which case an engineer will fit you a new cable probably at a standard call out fee, Possibly free if you deny all knowledge of a remodel .

Good luck

All the things hooked up to the router are: two xboxs and 3 computers. even when all the comps and 1 xbox is off it still does it. but like I said before before the remodel if worked perfect.

And im not plaing with a guest, my bro has his own xbox. Im just saying even when my bro plays (on his xbox) and when I (play on my xbox)it lags/logs us out at the same time.

It's not you. It's your bandwidth. Call up your ISP and see if they offer better speeds. Of course, that costs more money but it's the only way.
