Regular player count online is between 80-150 players online throughout most of the day. The game offers the option to donate for credits to buy boosts, however, this is not necessary and this definitely isn't a pay to win game, a lot of players haven't paid a cent to the game and are in the top 50 players.

If you do donate, you can become an even better force in the game, and get higher quicker, but beware, you can still be beaten by non-donators if you don't play enough.

The game is very much an AFK game in some ways... There are things you can do to make the game easy to play. You can leave the game for 30 mins, come back for a minute, then leave again for 30 mins. Although, for the best success and easier rising of the ranks, the more you're on, the further you will get.
