If you want to spend that much, by all means, do it! Since I don't know where you are, I can't get your a list from the right retailer, so I'll just use Newegg. If you can provide a link to which retailer you want I can get you a list there.

No combos because they don't apply.

A lot of these things like the 3770K and 16GB RAM are not necessary at all for gaming, keep in mind, but they're included for the sake of a balanced build. The 7970 GHz Editions do need that much wattage, look up the numbers overclocked if you're curious. The cooler is the best for the price and a much better option than any ALC. The RAM will overclock well but you probably wouldn't be getting the same kits. The board does it all for a great price at the moment, but that's just this site. In addition to these parts, you'll want to get a nice mechanical keyboard (as in not a Blackwidow), a top-of-the-line mouse like the Zowie AM, EC2 Evo, and EC1 Evo, Logitech G400, and Razer Deathadder. Most importantly, I did this build with a Dell U2711 or three monitors in mind. This PC is a complete waste of money for 1080p, but for 3 x 1080p or 2560x1440+ it's perfect or even overkill.

mkdir wrote You may want to go with diaboli's build but with all ssd space, no mechanical hard drives. That is if you want to spend your whole budget or you could go with one 512Gb ssd and a 3TB mechanical.

The 680 beats the 7970 unless you get a ghz edition which I highly reccommend.

Yeah, i dont think i need 512gb ssd anywhere soon if i have 3tb hdd

What is the GHZ edition u talking about?

I don't recommend you get the Sabertooth as you will not use the features it comes with. You can get a board such as the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 for $100 less and will do what you need it to do.

The ASRock looks nice, i also saw that you can OC with that if i am not wrong
Maybe i will purchase it but there are also many other Motherboards i can buy
but i dont really know which one is the best for OC

Thanks for helping, both.

I only chose the Sabertooth because it's one of the most robust motherboards out there, and fully supports overclocking. When overclocking at high speeds you'll want to make sure you don't ruin the board. Most people would recommend going with H100 when overclocking, but a lot of people said it can get loud when overclocking. I'm sure the 7970 I listed was a GHz edition. And overclocked, the 7970 is a far better card than the 680 because of the price:performance ratio - it performs better than than the 680 for the same price.

In fact, you can often find the 7970 cheaper by around 20 USD. And because of the extra RAM you get with it, it's better for multi monitor setups.

Also - didn't I have a mechanical HDD on there? I'm sure I put a caviar black in there...

With the sort of money you have, price doesn't really matter. The robustness of the Asus board is outstanding, and I love the minimalistic design of it.

If I were to build a computer with that sort of money, this is what I'd go with personally:

Seagate over WD for me because of personal experience.
7970 over NVIDIA because I don't edit.
750W PSU because it'll give a little bit of breathing room for later upgrades.
4x HDDs for RAID to give quicker transfer rates to put games on so they still launch nice and quick.
Noctua silent fans because the R4 case fans can get a bit noisy.
G45 over AS Rock - just because I've heard better things about it, and prefer blue over there black styling.
RAM for mental overclocking on that board.
i7 3770K - why not? Better for any future games that'll become more CPU intensive.
Vertex 4 because it's a super drive, and outperforms many drives of today and has a 5 year warranty.
R4 because it's my favourite looking case in the world. I love it - but there are other great options. I'd probably end up sticking some blue LED's around the inside of the window

Left out the optical drive now, because I personally don't need one. If you want one, get the cheapest you can find (they all do the same thing, except for blu ray drives obviously.)
