In an interview James Lopez, associate producer on Borderlands 2 has confirmed that a level cap is on the way.
Although we do not know what level it will be raised to, he stated that it will be "quite few levels" One would assume that they will raise it to the same as the Borderlands level cap of 69.
Lopez shared this information during an interview about the new Hammerlock dlc.
