As we all know the iPhone 5 was jailbroken Day 1 by @chpwn! This was done by wat the devs called a "failbreak". They showed Cydia running on the device to prove it. About a month later @planetbeing said he updated the failbreak with a kernel exploit. And just recently he also said he has a working iOS 6.0.2 untethered jailbreak on his iPhone 5! So people are now wondering why they are not releasing it to the public. There are a couple reasons. The first and least important is they want to wait till iOS 6.1 is released. Second this jailbreak needs to be tested and be able to work on all devices then be packaged into redsn0w so it can be used by everyone. The third and biggest reason is the exploits. They have all three major parts of a jailbreak. The kernel exploit (Which lets you run cydia tweaks), untether exploit, and code injection vector (aka the failbreak). Planetbeing said in his reddit post they dont want to waste a bug to always get a look inside the firmware. So know this is what I think. The failbreak was code injection vector. Which must be a glitch in Apple's SDK beta software. This is why the devs members told us we need a "dev account". This now all makes sense. They dont want to release this bug otherwise apple would patch it. So like plantbeing said in his reddit post they have to find a couple more exploits. This makes me think the devs are trying to find a new code injection vector, so they dont have to waste the previous exploit. Also @p0sixninja on twitter stated 2 months ago hes was working on bootROM and decryption keys for A5+ devices. This would keep jailbreaking alive for years if he can find an exploit there. So after reading all this I hope your patient with them because they do this as a hobby not a job! Also I know there are more than just 3 exploits that go into a jailbreak. These are just the main three.

There is nothing to a failbreak. A failbreak is just a compiled version of cydia moved on to a device that has developer capabilities. Nothing from cydia would work...

Failbreaks are nothing. Hence that term "failbreak"
