I'm sorry but hang your head in shame as this is one of the stupidest posts I have seen.

And what this virus you're talking about is a RAT Remote Administration Tool, look it up.

Bit harsh, but I was kinda joking lol

The only thing which could do anything a like is a program which runs within the background of your processors and then takes up 100% of the CPU cycles, and for a certain amount of time it could cause the CPU to become very hot, which could lead to more things. But that would only happen if you have a 10 year old computer/laptop, because modern day computer motherboards are designed to instantly shut down before it reaches a critical temperature.

Although that said, it is still possibly for modern viruses to have the ability to do anything, a virus known as the 'M13' has the ability to power a small LED screen as it emits electricity. I guess this virus could be real if it has the ability to change the firmware of certain hardware within your PC although I am not sure about it frying hardware, although I didn't think it was possibly in today's day and age.

You realize that there have been viruses around that can do that for years, it's called a RAT (remote administration tool) in which they can watch you on webcam, and do whatever they want with you, nearly having more control over your computer then you do yourself. And NAC cab get them just as easy as a Windows user can, I've controlled many RATs in my time.

They been around for ages, threes not been a "huge" spike in these viruses and I haven't come across one in years, I use no anti-virus and haven't done for the last six years.

RevolutionUKMoDz wrote Many websites have recently been infected with a deadly computer virus that either changes the voltage of components to the point of beyond repair, completely frying your pc's hardware.

Or there is a smaller strain of this computer virus that is very much like a keylogger but they broadcast your webcam to there computer so they could see you anytime they wish as long as your connected to the internet, they can even take control of your pc.

We are not sure what websites have been infected but there has been multiple complaints towards some major high traffic websites that we use everyday.

So to the users of the tech game be careful of what websites your visit because once the visited website goes into your temp files log you are infected, the virus becomes active and begins to slowly destroy your pc's hardware.
these types of malware have been around since long before most of ttg user's ever had a keyboard in front of them.... and yes Ipad's and smart phones are just as vulnerable aa a pc running windows linux or mac these days. hell you can infect a pc and if the user plugs in a ipod or a usb or a device with any form of expandable memory the malware can write/store its self on their an wait to be plugged into a different computer or gain access to a wifi network and spread over to other devices even if the malware is not able to fully infect the medium.

also be very careful on open/public networks you can easily be exploited/hijacked with out even being aware with simple methods such as this

Black Shades program does exactly this. Norton picks up the file though if its turned on. If you disable norton and then open the file and then turn norton back on it wont matter the virus will stay on your computer. the only way to remove it is to restore you PC/LAPTOP/MAC to a time before the download.
