If i have a pirated copy that is recognized as "Genuine" can i upgrade to windows 8 pro for the discounted price from the Windows website?

Nope. You'd need a legit serial key to get the discounted price. Why not just torrent 8 as well?

What if i bought 8 on a legit copy on a different computer and used thekey from that to upgrade my pirated copy?
