Yeah you can record with that but instead of putting the composite cables in the back like you would with the component cables you would plug them on the front where the 3 colored ports are showned. Keep in mind that this is only for the 1st pvr the new hd pvr 2 doesn't support due to it only have an hdmi slot. Have a good one man!
