I put windows 7 on my macbook via Bootcamp. When I play Minecraft I get a maximum of 20 fps and average around 16 fps. On my mac side I was getting 40-50fps. I have the right Java installed, and I checked the performance of Windows 7 with minecraft in the background, and was using 1.7gb/4.0 gb of RAM, and 27% of the processor. So I have no idea why minecraft is being slow, other than my GPU. But how could it run fine on my mac side and do horrible on the windows side which uses less resources.

Running it inside a Virtual machine isn't the best thing, this may be more than likely the reason why. I would suggest just running it on the mac side.

Using A Virtual Machine To Play Minecraft Will Take a Lot Of Resources, Because Your HDD Is Loading 2 OS'
I Would Just Stick To Running In OSX, I Get Around 300Fps Constant (50 GOT) But I Wanted To Use Fraps So I Ran In Parallels And I Got Around 60Fps (5 GOT).

I don't know why you would use it on windows because running a virtual machine takes a lot of resources, and minecraft would be the icing on the cake. Like the others, run it via mac os.

I cannot tell if you guys do not know what bootcamp is. I am not running windows through a program or software. Bootcamp allows you to put Windows on your Mac in a similar manner to dual booting. I have to shutdown my mac OS to boot up windows. My friend done the same thing with his Mac, and can play borderlands 2, saints row 3, etc. without a bit of lagg.

I Would Have Suggested Bootcamp, But I Thought That He Wanted Both Open At The Same Time.
