I'm getting a PS3 Slim or "Super Slim" really soon. (Don't know which model I will get)
But I have a question. What are the chances that the PS3 will get YLOD or the BluRay Disk Drive fails?
I used to play one of my Xbox 360s without any problems or issues for long periods of times.
If I play the PS3 for long periods of time will it overheat or will the disk drive fail?
Will installing the games to the Hard Drive prevent the Disk Drive from failing?
These are important questions as I don't won't to run my PS3 to death.
PS: I already have a well ventilated area setup and ready for it. I was going to put a fan next to it just in case like I did my 360.

Either one of those have a very low chance of failing. Even if you get the YLOD (most likely you wont) then you can fix it.
