I've been thinking about buying a custom computer, so I asked my friend to build me one, and here's what he came up with,

AMD A-10-5800K Quad Core CPU (3.8GHz) with Radeon HD 7660D Graphics

Asus F2A85-M: (M-ATX, DDR3, USb 3.0, 6.0GBs)

16GB Kingston Hyper-X Genesis Dueal DDR3 1600Mhz

2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 HDD 7200RPM, 16MB Cache

450W Dual Rail PSU

Standard AMD CPU Cooler

500GB 3.5" SATA-III 6GBs

I don't know hardly anything about computers, but I'm learning. However this computer will be used for editing(Photoshop, Cinema4D) and the odd but if gaming, on games such as BF3, Skyrim, AC.

If there is anything that needs changing, please inform me, and giving a reason why.

I personally wouldn't go for 16gb of ram unless you are planning to extremely multitask on your ram hungry program's but if you have the money it's worth it ;) and maybe get some case fans if you haven't thought of any

This build will generate lots of heat so when you build it if the CPU gets hot then i would go for a different CPU cooler or if you have lots of money left maybe go water Cooling??

APUs are no good for builds like this because you're buying them for the integrated GPU but not even using it. What's your budget for everything?

If you're going to go AMD, make sure it's an FX 4300 or 6300 and that you've got a board with a strong enough VRM to overclock. Even then it's debatable whether it's a good choice or not. The Phenom IIs and Bulldozer CPUs are out of the running at this point.
