It's sad how most people won't even bother to comment on here because they assume that anything dealing with religion is automatically false, and therefore would make commenting or providing input irrelevant.

I'd just had a full day of studying when I read this thread.

It's one of those threads that requires research and building an argument to reply to properly.

Which is why I didn't reply, but sometime today if I get some spare time I'll try to have some input, if not, it's not for the reason you've just stated.

I am an atheist, I really shouldn't post but I just couldn't help myself. Just because one priest said she is, doesn't mean it! He has no proof. Done!

The problem that I have with Revelations in relation to the rest of the Bible is that it's completely prophetic.
The reader has to take it out of context from the rest of the Bible.

No one can say with absolute certainty that any of the apocalyptic writing in Revelations has come true as a part of the prophecy and not by coincidence. Israel did gain it's independence just like it states in Revelations, but does that mean that Revelations was right, or just that this event was bound to happen?

I work with Christian Theology students and lecturers, I ask them often what they think of Revelations and the first words out of their mouths will always be "I don't know." Most theologians see Revelations as a completely separate document from the Bible.
It is no different to reading a Mayan prophecy or Sumerian prophecy.
Apocalyptic writing cannot be proven true or false unless it comes true.

At the end of the day, whether you believe Revelations is coming true or not depends on your religious orientation and how much you are willing to accept coincidence.

Personally, I don't believe that the Antichrist exists because i'm an Atheist.

However, if I was going to believe anyone on the subject of the Antichrist it would be Nostradamus.
He prophesied that the Antichrist would come during the time of MABUS which many say related to obaMABUSh or Obama - Bush. This is why Osama Bin Laden was considered the Antichrist, but also why I don't believe Barack Obama is the Antichrist because it says during the time of. Not 'one of these two people'.

This man is accusing Oprah because of her religious views and because she has been placed in a very opportunistic position in order to gain followers.

We should all thank God that the Westboro Baptist Church don't have their own prime time TV show >_>

I think I would commit suicide if that happened.

How would an anti-christ exist if there is no christ in the first place?

Christ was in fact named Yeshua-Ben-Yosef, he was given the name 'Christ' after he died/disappeared to fit the role of Messiah.

Everything you read in the New Testament is based on a real person.
Whether he performed miracles and rose from the dead etc, is debatable.

But, 'Christ' did exist.

Strangely enough, the Pagan God 'Mithra' was also renamed to fit the description of a 'son of God' thousands of years before Christ was born.
Plus his story and Jesus' are uncannily similar.

It's quite the coincidence >_>

Well in the bible it says the Anti Christ will bring peace to all countries and unite them and that hasn't happened yet. I do believe he is here now just waiting to start everything.

Your username is "-Ganjuh-" I'm not surprised that you believe in something as idiotic as this.
