Campaign: You clearly did not play the campaign or pay attention. Master Chief never had a dark persona, they never even really touched his persona until now. Cortana saves Master Chief with the hard-light covering. That is why she can touch him, hold down the boss, and protect him from the nuclear explosion. That is also why she says "the rest of me is down there.." This is because the ship explodes with her in it and becomes scraps afterwards. It explains the prometheans when you talk to the Librarian. The boss doesn't actually die, he just isn't able to regenerate fast enough, AFTER you stick a grenade in his chest. You are oblivious to all of that?

MP: The perks were introduced to allow more freedom into the game and gives no dramatic advantage as you claim. The shield regenerator is slow and only regens after you aren't hurt for a few seconds, also the boost is just slow and clunky. They also added ordinances to allow people who play well an extra gun or advantage without cramming it into the map and allowing teams to hold even more respawnable power weapons.

personally i like the game but it does have its flaws. SPOILER: in the end when Cortana dies is just stupid. what could they possibly do in the next game if there is going to be one. i know that the next game has rumors about Halo 2 Anniversary but still.
i really like the multiplayer but they do need to think more about the campaign story line.

Also within the multiplayer i like the being able to pick what weapons you want to use, rather then having to run all the way over the map to find what your looking for. but they also need more options with choosing weapons and other things.

Last Point to the other people. Listen in the cut scenes. it does explain where MC is going and why he is there. Pay attention before judging on a game.

I personally like halo 4 but the thing that i loved about halo 3 was the custom games infection where we played on maps that had been made in forge with game types like fat boy and other infection gametypes . Ah those were the days , i hope it returns to halo 4
