According to one of my friends, last time he went to a midnight release, he just brought in his receipt to finalize that he paid for it, then they gave him some slip and he just waited in line, no number in line or anything.
Yeah, I have been to many midnight releases, and I have never gotten a number. When I went to the Halo 4 release, they put an X on the receipt and then you went to the back of the line. I got there at about 11:25 and it was packed, and that wasn't even as a big as the Black Ops 2 release. I would recommend getting there at 10 or so, since this is the biggest game launch in Gamestop history.

depends on how many people live in your area and if you wanna be first in line, or if you don't mind being like 12th inline.
I would say it takes about 2min per person to pay and get their games. GameStop does alot of pre paying tho so it streamlines the process.

I would go at 10 if it was just me, but my friends are coming too, and they are really impatient lol. I'm more worried about them not finalizing my reciept because we are getting there at 11:30

Another quick question, when i get there, what do i do? Do i just wait in line, or do i go into the store with my reciept or what?

Well, from my experience you go in the receipt with your pre-order and they will check it or something along those lines, and then you wait in line.
