Opinions what do you guys think?

There are Not Thousands not millions but BILLIONS of other planets apart from the ones we know of.
Surely we can not be the only life? if so why us? and what is the purpose to life

If we found life on other planets

Pros: New Materials / Stronger or better
Brand new inventions we have never thought of what could come in handy
Possibly world peace.

Cons: They could be dangerous and i mean very, ex: If we touched them that could harm us, things like that...
They could have mass nuclear weapons and i mean way better than things on earth and we could be under attack,

Lack of the ability to communicate
Fear
etc.

leave comments below do you think there is? if so is it good or bad

EDIT: who knows if the cure for aids and cancer isnt right under our noses?
we just need the equipment to explore

another con: they could bring mass diseases

Like you adequately put, there are billions of planets out there like ours, that's not even including planets which may be inhabitable by other beings but not us.

The chance of there being no life out there is nought but a fraction from impossible.

I think that it would be a good thing If we found life on their home planet, we would most likely be the superior race which would probably lead to a truce and co-operation.
Or, we could scare them and cause a war.

Very well put. I am pretty sure there is a single-cell organism already determined to have come from space due to the fact that it can survive temperatures below -30 (or something else around 0) and up to 1000. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I think their is life on other planets you would be pretty arrogant to think that we are the only ones out their.

It's not even a question. Of course there is life on other planets.
The planets we have discovered are nothing, we will never know how many habitable planets there are... You cannot simply imagine how many civilizations are out there. There are too many.

There probably is life on other planets, just not the ones that we already discovered.

I thought about this in science today.

He was like... there's thousands upon thousands of galaxies. And I was just thinking about how many other worlds there must be that's inhabited by humans.

Well right now it's not even a matter of if there is life on other planets it's just when we will find them. Like you said the Milky Way is vast, nearly 60,000 light years across and we have only scanned a fraction of it.

I heard on the science channel that in 30-40 they would have found a planet that can habit life.

There is life confirmed on other plants but molecule wise, not sure about other life forms.

Its a certainty that there is life on other planets, weather its bacteria or a race.
the odds that we are the only living race in the universe are astronomical.
