Any of you guys got the Raspberry Pi computer?

I've got one and i was just wondering if anyone else does or if im alone

Last time I checked they were backordered. Cool little machines to experiment on but nothing more than that. Throw a light Linux distro on it and it can be a media PC for $30. If they are ever available in Canada I might buy one just for the sake of it.

Yep they are back ordered. I ordered mine and it took nearly 3 months to come! They do ship them around the world, so you can get them in canada, look at RS components or element 14.

You can use Raspbmc to use as a media centre. it supports HDMI which isnt bad for $30! I'd definitely recommend getting one just to tinker around with aswell, as it can be used as a home NAS server too

Why would you want one if you've got a PC?

They were made for kids to learn Python as a cheap method for schools.

They're not just a way for kids to learn python...
