This is what I am going to buy some time this week. The games I am going to be playing include: BF3, Skyrim, ARMA II, Starcraft 2. I am worried that my processor wont be able to keep up with playing these games on MAX settings and it will bring my fps down (although I may be wrong), please feel free to give you 2 cents.

These Are The Specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz Quad-Core
0$ (Already Have)

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
134$

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz
80$

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti Superclocked 2GB GDDR5
290$

HDD: Western Digital Caviar 1TB
90$

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
55$

Power Supply: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W
81$

Optical Drive: Asus 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal OEM Drive
23$

Cooling Fan(s): Cooler Master 120mm Red LED Case Fan X4
NZXT FZ-140mm Red LED Cooling Fan X1
53$

TOTAL COST BEFORE SHIPPING: ~800$

Better for less. It's also a full build with a CPU!

By the way, your AM2+ CPU would not work with AM3/AM3+ boards or DDR3 RAM as it lacks a DDR3 controller.

Wow, thanks for letting me know that! I think I will actually use your build,(minus the case ill use my previous one and the power supply i want to have a little more room for future upgrades) what website is that off of?

P.S. With those specs, would I be able to run BF3 on max setting at at least 40fps?
Also do you think I need case fans? if so how many? And do you think that 8gb of RAM will be enough? (I dont render but I do multi task a lot)

OK on the case, but it might be time for an upgrade there, too. The Antec One is only $45 and might be worth it. Also, if you want to be able to Crossfire in the future, get the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (because I can't find a more appropriate 650w unit with four PCI-E connectors that's priced well), but honestly you won't need to. By the time you would really feel pressed for more performance, it would be best to buy a single, stronger card. The 7870 will do just about any game at 1080p around 60 FPS when you overclock it (yes, BF3 too), so you don't even need more performance unless you plan on using a higher-res monitor or three of them.

8GB will be more than enough and the case comes with enough fans. The two it comes with will create plenty of negative pressure to move enough air to keep everything cool. Stock cooling is also plenty for the i5-3450 even after you raise the clock speed by the allowed 400 MHz/4 bins.
