hey TTG awhile back bosslobbyz sent me a console and i didnt start using it until today, apparently it is console banned and im a noob so what does this effect?

If it's a JTAG console then it's banned... it means it can't go on LIVE (which it can't anyway because it's a JTAG)
If it's not a JTAG or RGH then it can only play offline.

It means the console is banned from using (Not allowed to use) Xbox Live functionality, no access to online gaming, movies, music or marketplace.
If your talking about a jtagged console, which i presume you are as this is in the JTAG discussion board, then you can buy a KV which is a file that can replace your banned KV.
KV = Key Vault.
Think of it was your consoles ID, its checked upon trying to connect to Xbox Live, so if its banned you can't connect. So if we replace it with an unbanned ID, then your console has online functionality.
Sorry if I have made any mistakes, this is what I know from my knowledge. I've owned a JTAG but never actually played it online or flashed a key vault.
