When I say wipe I mean keep my OS and stuff but clear all programs and files like wipe the HDD, basically I'm asking if there is a way I can delete everything but keep my computer able to run. I'm not much good with computers.

You could restore your laptop to factory settings via Windows recovery mode. Most factory machines come with their HDDs partitioned so a small portion holds the recovery data, it might be named "RECOVERY (D"

Or at least I think that's how you do it.

XeX_XENONZ wrote Step 1: Go to kitchen.
Step 2: Grab Paper towels.
Step 3: Using extreme precision, carefully rip one piece of paper towel off from the roll.
Step 4: Using the piece you ripped off, stroke your computer in any area you so choose to wipe.
Step 5: Throw paper towel in trash can.

Congratulations! You just wiped your computer!
Wow man and here I thought we here at pc support do not have people who do the stupidest things. Well I have been proven wrong.

Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and download a 10 MB ISO from there. This will wipe the whole HDD. If you want a secure wipe, it also does a magnetic wipe which can take up to 48 hours.

K it's a bit embarrassing but I don't even know what type of computer this is, it's a small grey box and it BLOWS. I don't think I have these recovery files you speak of?
