This thread is made to help people that have recently got an XperiA PLAY and want to know about different things you can do on them, im not going to post any links to things because of advertising and whatever but just google what I tell you and you should be fine, or PM me if you cant find what your looking for.

Emulators
I personally use the PSX emulator FPse because it has the best review, all you need is a game ROM e.g. Final fantasy or whatever and a bios so you can save your data, another emulator I have recently used is GameBoid, which allows you to play Game boy advance games and some of the older game bot games.

on the android market place search for "FPse" and then click on the top link and download and install that (there are free ways of getting emulators but this will kee the application updated, but if you do not want to buy the emulator you can just google "FPse apk download" and find a link then put that in your downloads folder on your memory card, but if you can not find the apk file on your phone just get the application "ES file explorer" and then find the file, after you have that, put the game into the downloads folder aswell and find the game on FPse to launch it, this should work with most emulators but they are all slightly different.

Themes
these are easy just get the application from android market place "GO Launcher EX" and that will allow you to get many more themes, then find the theme you want on the market place and go launcher will install it for you.

Games
most games you CAN get for free but paying for them is better because of new updates to the game that you will need, an example is GTA III that recently came out, I could not get it to run when I tried getting it for free so I bought it and it worked fine, and then there were little bugs which were fixed within a few days. but some good games are

- Minecraft PE
- Fifa 12
- Battlefield 2
- Temple Run
- Assasins Creed
- Modern Combat
- UNO
- Bruce lee warrior
- GTA III
- Crash bandicoot

Apps
some good apps to have are

- Facebook
- Skype
- BBC Iplayer
- Youtube
- Facebook messanger
- Avast Mobile Security
- ES file Explorer
- Speed test

Updating
Android 4.0.4 was going to be coming to the Xperia PLAY but today (25th May) Sony officially said that they were not going to be making 4.0 for the Xperia PLAY due to hardware problems, so basically ICS (Ice cream sandwich)is not coming to Xperia PLAY because the game pad is not stable with alot of games and the reason you got the phone was for the gamepad so not being able to use that would defeat the object of having a gamepad.
I will keep this post updated every so often
