Hello TTG,
I plan on building an extreme gaming PC. What is the fastest CPU in 2012? I will have extreme over-clocking capabilities because I will be using a Phase Change CPU cooler that cools to -55 degrees Celsius. Please give me your input on the fastest for both. I got 2 GTX690's from my cousin for free so I'm pretty sure I'm set as far as graphics LOL

You got two GTX 690s for free, and you're supposedly using a dream CPU cooler. AND you're going on TTG for advice? Let me tell you something.

A real enthusiast with serious money knows what he's paying for. One wouldn't need to ask ESPECIALLY about the CPU and motherboard. You should know what you're buying, you should know every dang detail of your purchase. Bottom line, nobody has a reason to believe you. At least pretend to have a mid range build. Not a ~$4,000 build. I'm gonna be straight with you, you know nothing.

To answer your question, I would buy the Gigabyte X79 UD7 if you can find it, and a 3930k.

My cousin recently passed away and my family obtained the 2 GTX 690's because his parents knew nothing about them. I knew nothing of there quality or value until I researched them today. Obtaining the two cards and finding out how powerful they are made me interested in building a monster PC. You are right, I am not a true enthusiast because I'm on an iMac right now. One thing I do have though is allot of money lying around. And I know TTG is a horrible place to ask so where would you recommend I ask?
