I have finally switched from console gaming to PC gaming, and it's time for me to get a new PC. I have picked my components and I just wanted some opinions on my system.

Case: Silverstone precision PS05B
CPU: Intel i5 3570k ivy bridge
Motherboard: gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
RAM: 4gb DDR3 corsair vengeance
Hard Drives: 120gb OCZ solid 3 SSD and 1tb western digital WD10EZRX
GPU: 2gb MSI GTX 660ti power edition, OC'd
PSU: 750w corsair builder series CX

I am familiar with computer hardware but since this is my first time picking my own components and assembling the PC myself, any advice would be appreciated

I'm on a budget of 800 so i'll probably not get a SSD and spend the money on a better HDD, probably something like the 500GB Western Digital VelociRaptor WD5000HHTZ, considering it's speed compared to most other hard disk drives

I recommend 8GB ram, makes for a better gaming experience ;)
Also, I recommend the case Zalman Z9, it's $10 more than the one you have, but it's a great case (from what I hear )
Also, are you going to use all of the 1TB? I'd go down to 500GB 7200 rpm.
(I'm a beginner at this PC building and such, so you can take my advice into consideration if you want )

Because of the awkward budget i'm starting with 4gb of RAM but i will probably be able to add another 4gb a week or two after i've built it ;) i'll have a look at that case though, as long as i can fit some decent cooling in it for overclocking later

What about the graphics card? Will it run starcraft 2 and arma 2 reasonably well?

Just get a Western digital green 500GB 7200RPM HDD, and a 24 GB SSD. Trust me, it's better

Swap out the gpu for this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] And if you're still wondering about those little settings of yours, this will play any game on high settings
