RuLeWreX wroteyeah but isnt the i7 faster?r00t wroteYeah the i7 is a bit overkill if you only plan on doing gaming and editing. For "random pc use" the i5 2500k will be more than enough for anything you throw at itTRiK_TeReDroP wrote my budget is that i really dont have one so anything. For gaming some editing and mostly just random pc use.
If you didn't have a budget you wouldn't be asking this question. From what I can tell, the i5-3570K or 2500K is more than adequate for you.

All it has over the i5 is Hyper-Threading, which is a waste of money for 99% of people as they will not take advantage of it.

There's no need to bring up age as it means absolutely nothing. You can't expect people to know a lot about this stuff, and the fact that he's taking the initiative is great.

The 640 is a very low-end card and doesn't really belong in this build. You also didn't meantion an SSD, so I assume there is not one. 16GB of RAM is more than likely pointless over 8 as RAM only improves performance if you'll be making use of it. Just the wattage of a PSU doesn't tell me enough as what's more important is the quality of the unit. 700w is also way overkill for the current build. You'll want to switch to Z77 instead of X79, of course.
But honestly it would be better if I did a whole new build for you. Feel free to post here with a request form (the form makes it REALLY easy to find out what fits your needs best) after reading the topic:
