i had an avg scan and it came up with rootkits and i knew something was wrong let it finished came up with nothing downloaded a removal nothing please help

Uninstall AVG or any Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware product(s).

Download Malwarebytes.

Run a scan with it.

Remove anything it finds.

Uninstall Malwarebytes.

Download Microsoft Security Essentials for Anti-Virus protection.

Could be nothing wrong, as AVG does give a lot of false positives, but better safe than sorry.
