You see "Read the rules" 10 times on that topic. I think the new member would understand after the first time it has been posted, other posts after that are unnecessary.

You are wrong about members understanding by then. Some members don't understand and need to be told many times. Also, some members also want to be friendly so this thread may offend people. I suggest taking it down.

You obviously do not understand, I think it's a good thing to welcome the new users but it can sometimes get a bit repetitive when you see "Stay active, read the rules" 20 times.

Some of them like the attention it makes them feel welcomed as they should be.

I understand the concept you are trying to show, but all their really doing is welcoming them.

In one hand, you do have the spammers who get their post counts up.

On the other hand, there are people who take the liberty of doing so just because their new.

So either way, there's arguments on both sides, neither wins, neither will stop arguing.

That is what opinions and ranting is for, to express your thoughts freely to an extent.

I think he's just tired of people posting 100 replies in all different topics, I can undesrtand that.
