a while back i had given my jtag a bad flash and was gonna make a lpt but never got around to it. i now have made one last night. so i have my xenon jtag hooked up to my computer using lpt and i had flashed a freeboot.bin i had made with freeboot toolbox. so once that was done i plugged in my jtag and turned it on. the intro vid came up but then the fans got really fast and the screen went blank. then i tried booting in xell and freeboot 360 came up. it did a lot of scrolling and then the fans got fast and turned off. so then i tried just turning it on again but no video came up, just fast fans and shutdown. so now as I'm typing this i am flashing my original nand1.bin to it. i don't know how thats gonna work out but i was wondering if i was to just load a hand image or freeboot with the newest dash bord then i could not only get this jtag to work, but it would be updated. all help is appreciated

Well for starters you shouldn't be using lpt it's not just slow but it's known to cause problems. You should of tried usb and get TX Nand-X.Other thing is depends onw hat you have hooked up it could be wiring but without any pics or jtag method It could be a host of things.

lol i used lpt for years and worked awsome. lpt is fine and this dude has no idea what he is talking about. i would still be using it if it wasnt for my friend who purchased me a nandx as a gift for tagging his console.

your getting rrod. you need new thermal paste or your bolts are to tight ect... its not the nand
