You're totally right on that r00t_b33r. Having had one of the first 1 GHz processors from AMD I'd love to see them make a return. They really need to hurry up and release the 7990 chip though, because GPU wise they're getting their asses kicked in higher end.

Honestly I think it's fine if they don't release a 7990. The dual-GPU cards are just so irrelevant to pretty much everything that I can't imagine them making much bank off them. I see them more as a way to show what can be done without regard to practicality. Still, when you need a 690, you need a 690. There is a niche, I guess. Some people have to game on three U3011s.

Yeah, well I'd imagine they're just holding out for 8 series at this point. But with all these newer APU's they have coming, it's really going to redefine low budget gaming.
