So, this will be my first build, and yes, it is a budget build, but it's all I need. I don't need an overkilled PC right now, so deal with it.

It's going to be based off of this webpage:

Of course, it is June, but the prices haven't changed much.

Here's the specs/parts:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-A55M-DS2 FM1 AMD A55 (has VGA and DVI) for PC $50

CPU: AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Radeon 6550 $120
-55 fps in Crysis @ 1680x1050 (no filters)
-Civ 5 1680x1050 30 fps
-StarCraft II 1680x1050 62 fps
-Can crossfire with 6450, 6570, or 6670 - greatly improves performance

Ram: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 - $24

PSU: LEPA B550-SA 550W SLI/ Crossfire Ready 80 Plus Bronze Certified - $55

Case: GIGABYTE GZ-F5HEB $20

HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST250DM000 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb - $70

CD/DVD: ASUS 24X DVD Burner - $17

Total: $356 (S&H/Tax not included, but calculated at only around $40

Not too overkill, saw the gameplay vids as well... Very cool, can run Black Ops at 43fps as well on HQ, and Minecraft fairly good.. This will be upgraded in the future as well, and will include a watercooling system as well later on.

So, you guys think this is good for a first build?

Bet I can do better!

The 7770 destroys the APU. Here it is compared to the 6670, which itself destroys the APU:

This build also has twice the hard drive capacity and a much better case. I can even cut the price down further by swapping the graphics card for a 6670, which will still outperform the APU by quite a large margin.

Oh, wow... I don't know a whole lot about computers, but do know quite a bit, but that's substantial... So you're saying I put this all together with that card,I won't short anything out, right?

Everything will work perfectly, yes. I also have guides and info in my sticky here: Forums/t=3809045/the-custom-pc-topic.html
