Microsoft stopped making phat xboxs two years ago right? Why would you recommend an older console thats prone to RROD? And $400?!?!?! Holy retards batman.... kids today, our future is doomed.
You can buy a old phat jtag in the marketplace for $100-$200 with a harddrive, shipped. What is that kids smoking, whatever it is I want it.
If you have money to burn you should get a trinity (that's the new slim model), and have someone RGH it, and have a demon or a trident installed, so you have a 2 in 1 console. Turn it on connect to xbox live, play your call of duty games like normal, turn it off, flip a switch and you have your jtag nand with freestyle dash with all your games on it.

Jasper Jtag are the best but if you looking for a console that would last the longest would be a RGH Slim there around $140-$200

Well, currently Jaspers are the best but are getting more rare, I would go with a falcon. They are pretty much in the middle for quality.
