Unplug all the cables, hard drive and any other memory units, plug them all back in if it doesn't work you most likely have a hardware failure, check your tv screen/monitor to see if you have an E-- error if not find secondary error code and it will give a better understanding on what is the problem and how to fix it.

If the console has never been opened then check the manufacture date on the back of it (above the AV socket) if it is within 3 years then your console is still under the RROD warranty providing the warranty hasn't been voided. If it is still under warranty contact Microsoft and send it in for a repair.

If the console has been opened or the warranty has ran out I suggest looking at getting a repair done by someone with a sticky in the marketplace, they will want to know what the secondary error code is so it's worth finding out.

Stay away from any fixes that involve towels, heat guns or hair dryers these only make things worse, from experience I'm telling you to get it fixed properly, and if it's still under RROD warranty you'd be mad to void it when you can send it in to Microsoft and get a guaranteed fix.

Find out your secondary error code and I'll point you in the right direction if your not sure how to do that follow these steps:
Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the red lights are flashing.
Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code (as described below).
Release the eject button and press it again.
The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
Release the eject button and press it again.
The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
Release the eject button and press it again.
The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
Release the eject button and press it again.
The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.
You should be able to determine the difference between the 3 flashing lights and the error code lights by the rate in which they flash.

Here is how you interpret the LEDs to get the code number:
All four lights flashing - 0
One light flashing - 1
Two Lights flashing - 2
Three lights flashing - 3
