I just set up my razer chimaera 5.1 for my pc instead of xbox and when plug the 3.5m wires in the right way I can here the volume fine, but people can't here me, and when i switch them around so the input wire is in the output slot and the output wire in the input people can here me but they can also here what I here, so if i had music on whilst on skype then people in the call can also here it for some reason?

I've never had a problem with my 5.1's like this. But if you have an xbox, test it on there and make sure it atleast works for Xbox. If it's even screwy for xbox chat, then it's definitely the actual headset. Also check your two 3.5mm cables for damage of any sort. I wish i could help more but this has never been in issue with mine.
