Didact-Legen777 wrote Once more, I must state the one key flaw in an otherwise perfect argument. These games are all of different genre (though the first two are more closely related than the others).

Who are you to say what game can generate the most excitement? Where is the fun in having a game where every match leads to a single team having unfair advantages due to mods? (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: World at War) Where is the fun in having enemies with greater fire power just for being rich? (Battlefield 3) Where is the fun in turning left, to see if you can turn left faster than everyone else? (Forza) Next to that, I think building an entire civilization from scratch, while defying hostile enemies and adventuring in a near-infinite paradise prevails as the greatest. And if, as you so claim, Minecraft is 100% useless, why does that make prestiging any more valuable?

Open your eyes, overrated is a gargantuan overstatement.

An entire civilisation? Have fun trying to make a civilisation on minecraft. Let's see you replicate ancient Athens on minecraft, complete with everyone that lived there, all the shops and houses and everything else within the city walls. If you want to create an entire civilisation and defy hostile enemies, play a good themed RTS game. Play a recent Call of Duty to experience no mods, the premuim weapons on Battlefield aren't hugely overpowered, and who DOESN'T fell excitement driving at 200mph? And prestiging allows you to further increase your rank.

Also, if overrated is a gargantuan overstatement, that could also mean the game is bad and no-one cares about it, instead of it being good and people don't need to overrate it (which is what I assume you meant).

Yes, an entire civilization. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] The simplest creation I assumed you could equate with the game. Naturally, if 'special effects' (for lack of a better phrase) are your specialty, have fun with redstone building a massive castle, complete with working drawbridge and portcullis. As for the denizens, there is no logic is asking for something that cannot be done, although with the right manipulation of NPC villages and/or mods, this can be accomplished. The point of the game (more or less, varies slightly by person/goals) is to build civilizations, and if not that, something of a similar scale. I doubt someone will buy Minecraft only to attack monsters. Or be content in a world of near-infinite creativity with a small hut.

So, I'm not allowed to create worlds of my own in this game? I need your permission to pick a game in which I can raise or raze monumental structures. You say that I need to play an RTS, so does that mean I can't choose to play Minecraft instead?

"Recent Call of Duty"

You say excitement is generated at 200 MPH? Wow, such minimal standards. Maybe if I were running at 200 MPH and collecting rings and emeralds while avoiding robots and other hostile enemies, I would (and do) find that fun, but not from turning left.

I apologize, I used prestiging as an example, but did not realize what it did, thank you for the explanation kind sir. Thanks to this new information, I can now explain what I meant in the first place. You said (you will notice I deleted the original post to save space) "MINECRAFT IS A GAME WHERE YOU CAN BUILD AN EXTREMELY HUGE RANGE OF 100% USELESS **** ..." My response, as you can read above, is a sarcastic remark implying that prestiging is just as much, if not more, useless than Minecraft creations. As your helpful definition points out, prestiging simply resets your rank, leaving no evidence behind of past works other than, additional custom classes (among other, less useful rewards), and, in Modern Warfare 3, a go at the prestige shop, which, in essence, makes it easier for you to level up, so you can presitige once more. Such an -- EXCITING -- cycle, isn't it? Not to be too pedantic, but we both know it doesn't really let you increase your rank further, it just resets your rank while giving you a negligible reward.

In that last line, you read my entire post and thought that was my meaning? Rather, you chose to wrongly interpret my paraphrase of your false statement, an underhanded and rather useless rhetoric technique. Or, of course, you could just be really thick.

Are you seriuse? You get bored of the PC version will countless mods that add new content and improve upon the game, with the fantastic texture packs, and the unlimited amount of skins.

Of course you don't need my permission or anyone else's permission to play a game, but a good RTS would be a better game for creating an entire civilisation. That's my point. Also, you don't just turn left (and right) at 200mph, do you? There are generally other cars which is part of the excitement, trying not to hit them and beating them in the race.

The mod you've found is Survival Mode. It doesn't affect other players other than the leaderboards. It could only affect your VOLUNTARY co-op partner.

While prestiging resets your NUMERICAL rank, it gives you a new emblem next to the reset number, so it still does increase your rank visibly to other players. Think of it as going rank 1-80 cycle 1, 1-80 cycle 2, etc. and while you do state about the cycles, you make it sound as if it is never ending, but it ends at 20. (Unless you reset your stats, but only crackheads do that).

Also, I never said I believed the former statement was what you meant, I even said I assumed it was the latter. I just put that in there to show the meaning was potentially unclear, whereas with my statement, if a game is massively overrated, that can only mean that people think "ZOMG, MINECRAFT IS SO EPPICZZZ!1!!!11!" when it isn't very good.
