Mice and birds are the deadliest because of he diseases they carry, but if you'll count Insects as animals the mosquitos are the deadliest "Animal" and the animal that claims most lives.

EDIT: I change my mind, Humans are the deadliest animal, Nuff said.

The most deadly animal in the world is the Pholcus Phalangioides,
A.K.A. "grand daddy long legs" or "daddy long legs." It is the most deadly spider and animal for that matter, but it's fangs are so tiny it would take 100 of them a year to kill you.

ok, some of you guys and girls are going about this in the wrong way.

1) Insects are regarded as Animals, so a spider could pontentialy make the list
2) A snake isnt an insect, but more a reptile, which is definatly an Animal
3) Roachs can be deadly, seeing as one the carry lots of disease and two, can survive the fallout of a Nuclear/Radioactive Explosion.
4) An urban legend states that Pholcidae are the most venomous spiders in the world, but this claim has been proven untrue. Recent research has shown that pholcid venom has a relatively weak effect on insects.
5) some people get the "dandy longlegs" confused with the "Crane Fly", which is in actual fact harmless.

:trollin:

*Not Flaming in anyway, just trying to get the truth out there!*

and as for my answer, I would probably go with mosquito too, seeing as the carry Malyria, one of the biggest killers in Africa.
