Words That Really Annoy Me
Reformat!
Is this even a word? Don't you just format a hard drive everytime you need to wipe it clean and restart from scratch? Wouldn't reformat really mean the second format right after the first? It really really irks me people use this word in so many places were it's not called for.
Evidently & Apparently!
This one is the old one from my parents. Well Evidently you did do something to piss your sister off. Like I ALWAYS did something wrong you know what I mean.
Any words????

Every storage device is formatted to a certain file system, whether it be NTFS, FAT32, and so on and so forth. To "reformat" is to overwrite the existing format and either change it to a new filesystem, or to just create a fresh filesystem. That is why it is called REformat, because you're formatting it after it has been formatted.
I don't see why you don't like "evidently" and "apparently" just because your parents say it.
The only word/abbreviation that rustles my jimmies slightly is YOLO. Because APPARENTLY you only live once, it's just EVIDENTLY a fact. No need to spray it everywhere, we already know.

"Anyways." It's not a word. Ironically I can't stand the word "brony," either. I refrain from using it not because I don't like the implications, but because the word itself makes me want to hide under a rock.
