Now before i go on to tell you basically how to fix the problem, can i ask if you have checked the basics, for example is your router switched on, is the driver for the Wireless card fine and working and such like.

To replace the Wireless card, first you'll need to get exactly the same wireless card ( saves your computer the effort of going to get new drivers and stuff)

your wireless card is usually found next to, or in between your RAM and HDD on your motherboard, to access it, you should remove one of the Back panels to have a look for it,

once you find it, it should just be 2 simple screws holding it in place and a black and a white wire, these are what the card uses for "Talking" to the laptop and your router and "Listening" for TCP and UDP traffic destined for your computer, this method is called "Full Duplex". but i digress that is more into networking than a hardware fix :trollin:

now all you have to do is unlink the two cables from the card and then the two screws, this should spring the card up, allowing you to easily remove the card.

Next you have to reverse the last step with your new card.

lastly, all you have to do is log on update the drivers and connect to your router.
