ok so i am selling my xbox to my frined and he said he would pay extra for a hdd with windo and leds (was working on this project anyway) so i started working on it and he wants 7 color led and those have 3 legs + - and control for the color. how do i wire this to the power supply from the hdd wires and also i am planning on running 2 of them (on either side) and the power supply from the hdd (so i have read and been told) is a 5v source and the LEDs that i have say this on the back of the package they came in:

intensity:(typical): 250mcd (red),
580mcd (green)280mcd(blue)

wavelength:(typical): 660nm(red),
525nm(green), 470nm(blue)

viewing angle: 20 degrees

FW current 35 mA

FW supply: 3.2V (typical), 3.5V(max)

from this i have some questions:
do i need any resisters? i have some 1-kohm resisters already
how do i tell how much power will be going to each LED? i was told to do it like this: source/# of LEDs - resister = power to each light
is there any way for me to get enogh power to each LED? or will i all ready have enough power going to each one? (i would like them to be bright)

i bought a bread board to kinda play around and see what works and what doesn't so is that pretty much my best bet for figuring out what to do and what not to do?

please and thanks for reading and helping me out guys
