Alright so back in April on this website I read a news article that stated that since the Xbox 360 is nearing the end of it's life cycle, that the cost to play online would be elimimenated, more or less to that effect of how it was actually stated.

Why the -blam!- did it not actually happen??

I didn't have the money for Gold when I first heard of it, and when I read it I thought I could wait a few months to play online again, so I went and started getting addicted to PC gaming. And right before July 1st I spent around seventy dollars on gaming equipment and drinks so I could do the 80 hour challenge on Xbox Live. So now all that was wasted.

So after my rant, basically im pissed and wanna know why it isn't free to play online.
