Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Gaming Case
Biostar H61MH
4GB (2GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Corsair RAM
500GB SATA-III 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
800 W PSU
AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB

Still experimenting with certain specs and such, any advice would be appreciated.

Also , I'm looking to stay at about $1000.

4GB RAM isn't GREAT depending on what you play.

6/10

The build is extremely unbalanced

Shit PSU
Shit Motherboard
Low RAM for the budget
500GB for the budget (low)

MSI HD 7950 (One of the best coolers): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

TX650 (800W is WAY TOO MUCH for a single card, with the TX650 you could even Crossfire your card): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Corsair 400R Case + 8GB Vengeance: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Asrock Extreme4 (all the features that $170 mobos have for cheap) + 1TB Samsung 7200rpm HDD: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

i5 2500k + Asus Optical Drive: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Total: 1011.92

If you want to overclock you will need an Hyper 212 Plus and add $30 to the budget for that aftermarket Cooler.

RAM USAGE WHILE GAMING 8GB IS ENOUGH:

AMD = Budget Gamers/Basic-Standard Editing
i3= Budget Gamers/Basic editing
i5= Gamers/Standard Editing
i7= Gamers/Advanced Editing(Heavy Modeling)/Showoffs

WINDOWS 7 Ultimate 64 Bit Download (It has all versions included, make sure when installing to scroll down and choose the 64 Bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate)

You will need [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or other Torrent program to download it.

You can either Burn the ISO or if you have an USB (4.4GB+) you can use [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and you will need to set to boot from USB drive on the BIOS.

Here's a tutorial on how to use WinToFlash:

Tip: When you finish the first steps using the USB method, Windows installation process will require to Reboot the system, when that happens, you MUST take out the USB drive and there will be no need to put it back again.

Good luck with your build!

Awesome post, thank you very much. I've downgraded the video card to the 7850, and the CPU to the i5-3550. Also, I'm also downgrading the PSU to 700W, don't need the extra wattage. Let me know if this is a mistake though

Make sure to get the TX650 (650w is still overkill)

or get the XFX 550w

(You could SLI 7850s with 650w)

Instead of the i5 3550get the i5 2500k which is unlocked and simply a better option

Also instead of the 7850 get the GTX 570, if you wanna get around the GTX 580 performance then get the 7870.

First link is on sale (249.99) so if by the time you buy it it's not for 249.99 then go for the EVGA one (second link)
