Yes, considering it's the fastest way to do anything in the OS itself. Heck, I launch most of my programs via Win -> 'program name' -> Enter.

I have pretty much everything I need in my taskbar. I don't miss it, but when my new keyboard comes in I'll be playing with the Windows key a lot.

Shitty? Hardly. The extra keys are remapped to media controls (like any fancy'ish keyboard would). It's comfortable, responsive, and doesn't have a major key rollover issues. It just looks old.
