Skruffy wrote Well, if you wanted, i would use frostbyte 2 or Unreal Engine, that would be if you had the money. BUT, i would use BGE, it looks pretty solid
Frostbite2? Dude it would cost them a bomb to buy legal rights first n Dice will not release a sdk anytime soon

It is unlikely they will every get hold of frostbite 2. It would cost many hundreds of thousands of pounds/dollars just to get them to licence it to you. Also they would charge you even more money if you want to release it anyway. I personaly like CryEngine3, and Unreal engine. So I would go for one of them.

Torque 3d, I highly recommend it. I used to use it, when I was developing my own free-roam zombies game. (weird coincidece, right?)
Not really a game, more like a small solo project that involved them.

I found it much easier to import objects, and you can even use their object designer if you aren't good with programs like Maya or 3DSmax

It really depends on the game in question. My team started off with Unity but then applied for a students licence for Source (Valves Engine) and that's what were using now.
