All parts come in at 874 but thats because the GPU is a bit pricey if u want it lowered a bit you could choose the radeon 6870.

Tell me if i have missed anything guys!!!

Thanks, the Radeon 6950 is cheaper on scan. co .uk

Guys, just a reminder. This is a topic where you seek advice from the four of us listed in the OP specifically. I don't want other people posting without our approval due to my efforts to keep a handle on the quality of advice given. We made the topic because of all the awful advice we see so often in these sections. Right now, iThorHD is the only one we've really seen that can really give quality advice. Don't be offended, just try to understand what our goals are with this topic.

You didn't list your currency, but I can only assume you're from the UK.

If so, good. All the parts were selected from @ [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] as usual.

539.06 - a little over your initial budget, yes, but I'd rather have something that's a bit more than some cheesy AMD APU build that is quite frankly really bad.

If you currently have a 7200rpm HDD in the system you're using right now, don't be afraid to re-use it along with your DVD drive since you'd get the exact same performance result whether you'd buy it brand new and spend extra money or re-use and re-format ( assuming the HDD is in good health and has no bad sectors and what not ). i3-2100 + MSI Z77 G43 + AMD 6850 is quite a popular combo that I offer for lower end builds and it's for a good reason, they offer great performance without breaking the bank. I had to compromise a little bit on the PSU, but it is more than enough for crossfired 6850's and a low wattage i3-2100, never-mind a single card system. Where I really had to cut corners was with the monitor - honestly, if I know Acer, it's more than likely washed out colors and horrible build quality ( a lot of their laptops can compare, even their higher end Ultrabooks from reading reviews ). It IS a 1920x1080 panel, but then again a LG IPS is not too much more but it's totally up to you and what you desire. All I'm going to say is this, if you already have a monitor that you can use as a temporary setup whilst saving for a nicer monitor, that's a really nice point of view and will get you a nicer monitor in the end. It'll easily play COD4 / Minecraft.

Rebates/Promos: Not bothered

Details: Preferable if an HDMI output would be possible... Also a spai PCI slot, Doubt that will be a problem though. Also, feel free to go slichtly above budget as I Can always put some extra money into it.

I went with the i3 2100 with a Z77 chipset motherboard so if you want to upgrade your CPU to an Ivy Bridge (later on) you could without changing the motherboard, In the case, I would go with the Antec One, since it is the BEST BUDGET case available in the UK.

Expect Battlefield 3 on high/ultra settigns (turn off AA and use the FXAA injector for AA without performance hit)[/spoil]

Seriously, i did not expect such a high quality build with the budget given, you guys really know your stuff. Have some Rep and I've thanked the topic for good measure!
