Can someone tell me what the new update is for?. It must be something big because its 2.38GB to download.

When battlefield updates it downloads the new map packs, so that you just have to buy em and play em, Kind of annoying for poeple who dont but what ever

It adds all of the Premium features.
Premium is a new feature you can purchase for 4000 microsoft points. Some of the things are camos on your gun, you get the map packs 2 weeks earlier than normal players, and you get all of the map packs. There are more features such as double xp, but just find out for yourself!

it is for the next map pack and for premium, it also contains a load of multiplayer fixes and tweaks(but unfortunately also some new bugs
