Wall of text inbound.

Don't feel obligated to seed popular torrents. Only seed obscure ones with only a few peers, this will decrease your chances of being logged. Also, stay away from movies in general, particularly new releases. This is where anti-piracy resources are concentrated because this is also where the money is. More obscure or older movie torrents should be fine. Downloading music should be fine as well, but I'm not sure about popular new releases. I don't listen to, much less download that garbage, so I wouldn't know. I'd be wary of them since they are what anti-piracy groups would be monitoring, if any music torrents. If you want popular new releases, find obscure torrents with fewer peers and avoid ones with hundreds or thousands of peers. I'm not sure about software or games, but I've always preferred to buy games. The number of hours you'll get out of Skyrim make it more than worth buying it on Steam. I've also found that with games and software, sticking to popular torrents with many peers yields the best results. Another reason to be careful.

Tell me if you need any advice regarding file sharing.

Most people can't. Either there'e only one in their locale (like mine) or it doesn't make financial sense. It also might not be their decision.

Lot of people saying VPN but Peerblock will block anyone from finding you without the need to pay anything or slow the DL speed.
