I've never heard of the first one, but fraps has always been reliable to me. The only problem, obviously, is it slows down the frame rate... a lot. Games like CoD4, expect to see a 10-20 fps drop on a mid tier gaming pc.

Dxtory.
You are able to select the exact resolution you wish to record in no matter what res you're playing at. Eg play in 1080p record in 720p.
Hardly and frame drop whilst recording, where as FRAPS makes FPS drop like crazy.
You can select video codecs which you wish to record with
If you use the default Dxtory codecs you can choose between 4 options of quality ; true,high,medium and low. They all look amazing TBH
Many audio settings and many other advanced settings
Recordings don't split into 3.97GB files like FRAPS and instead make one large continuous file.
