well the RRoD only appears if i have the HDD attached, is there a reason for this and how can i fix this?

take a hammer and hit the hard drive so hard
email ms and say your dog got a hold of your xbox and ripped your hard drive apart
attach a picture of it
bada boom free hard drive
nah im kidding try putting everything on a external hard drive and see if that works
