I currently have an iPhone 3GS factory unlocked iPhone and all of a sudden the phone shut off and will not turn on for anything. I tried to put the device in dfu Mode which didn't work on when I connected to iTunes it wasn't recognizing but when I connected my iPod with the same wire it detected the device please help.

The answer the person has given above are both wrong.

What you need to do is download a application on your computer called "Recboot" . This app can boot or boot out your device from recovery mode or any other modes. If this doesn't work, then search google for help.
