Okay so I noticed that this forum lacks majorly and there are very few of us Vita owners on this website.
This post will give off all current information on what is going on currently.

A few weeks ago, Wololo released a "modification" for the PSV known as a vita Half-Byte Loader, also known as vHBL. What this does is it allows you to run homebrews of your PSV.

What is Homebrew?
Homebrew is simply software that is produced by unofficial software developers, as compared with official software produced by developers licensed by the console manufacturer. With homebrew, you can install an emulator on your PSV and play gamecube, gameboy, and nitendo games free on your vita.

Long story short, in order to run vHBL on your PSV, it requires a certain PSP game, the vHBL is compacted into a Game Save and only few PSP games can load it. From the beginning the vHBL was put into a save for Motor Storm: Artic Edge, once Sony found out about this they pulled the game from the PSN and patched it. The next game became Everybody's Tenis, pulled. The following and most recent is Super Collapse 3, which is now pulled aswell. vHBL is not possible UNLESS you have a friend who purchased the game and he trusts you with his account. If not it is impossible and you need to wait for the next software update OR for the next game to be released. If you want to stay updated with all this, I suggest visiting this website. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] This website will give you information about vHBL and releases that will be coming in the future.

When the next game is released to launch the vHBL I will post a tutorial ASAP and share with everyone. If you are curious how to works, check out my other post on this forum and watch the video. It just shows what you need to do to launch the vHBL.

For those who read this please thank the topic, feel free to reply with ANY questions, and +rep. Thanks!

UPDATE: Wololo released the game for vHBL to run. The game is Monster Hunter: Unite. THE vHBL IS RELEASED YOU MUST BUY THE GAME BEFORE IT IS TAKEN OFF THE PSN AND YOU CAN THAN RUN THE vHBL!

Think I am lying?

Do you have it working? If so, feel free to say no, I know this is a big question but, is there any way you could give me it? Or make a new account and put it on that one, so you won't have to worry about me taking your main account?

Nope I don't have it but I have been doing SO much research for it. And I can't give it to you because I do not have it, also they removed it from everyones download history so at the moment it is impossible, when it becomes reuploaded it will be patched so yo cannot use vHBL with it. There is no opportunity for us at the moment.

Why does Sony hate Homebrew so much? Is it because people pirate games with it?

Sorry for the late reply but that is exactly right, basically all homebrew is classified as illegal because its a modified version made for the PSV and you are downloading it FREE online and playing it. :p

That so stupid! Why can't people just pay for their sh*t? I think they should be able to install it to their mem sticks, but we all know that they will do that then sell it right after. It would never work.
