Radeon 6990 actually is the best gpu right now but is a MAJOR POWER HOG.

Radeon 6990 vs gtx 680vs gtx 590= radeon 6990 wins 80%+ of all benchmarks and gtx 590 beats gtx 680 in quite a bit too. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Overall though the gtx 680 is still nice especially cause of the power consumption and how good the performance is too.

The original poster said single GPU, the 6990 is a dual GPU.

It has nothing to do with the VRAM. 4GB GTX 680 are soon to be released by EVGA anyways. It's the best single GPU card out right now. You can't compare this to a more expensive, dual GPU 6990. That and the 590 were both fads anyways - you don't see a lot of retailers selling them.

OK the 590, 690, and 6990 are NOT comparable as they are DUAL gpu's. Two graphics cards in one case, thus, "cheating". There not comparable really.

Looks like a nice graphics card but I guess I'll just be sticking to my normal ones.
