Okay, so I accidentally dropped my iPod touch, and the screen broke. A couple months ago, I got an iPhone so we figured we should get the ipod's screen fixed and sell it. I had a pass code on it, and we tried to remember the pass code but I haven't even touched it in like 6 months, so I forgot it. It says "iPod is disabled, connect to iTunes", but when I connect it to iTunes it says something like "iPod has a pass code on it. You must first enter the pass code" or something like that. So I can't put in the pass code, even if I did remember it. I try to put it in DFU or recovery mode, but it won't even turn off. I jailbroke it, so I can't really take it into an apple store. Could someone help, please?

I had to do this for my friend a few days ago, but his iPod once not jailbroken. This should still work though. You will have to put it in DFU mode by holding down the power and home button simultaneously after about 10 seconds now let go of the power button and hold the home button for 10-20 more seconds. Now your iPod will be in DFU mode and you can restore your iPod to factory settings. NOTE: If you did not know already restoring to factory settings will delete all of the items on your iPod and you will need to sync them back on. So you will not have a jailbroken device anymore.

EDIT: I might as well be an idiot. I did not notice you said that DFU mode will not work. Disregard this post :p

I don't think I tried it that way. I'll see if it works tomorrow, when the people I sold it to drop by to see if I can fix it again. The thing that really sucks is that I'll have to buy it back from them if I can't get it to work. /:
